I actually have down time at work for the first time in a while. Yay! And my whiny-ass self is feeling better. Yay!
I don't have anything much to talk about as I have nothing resembling a social life at the moment. I could tell you about my to-do list for the house, but, really... who wants that? So I'll just start talkin'.
Oh, TV! That's always good. Let's see: I love love love Grey's Anatomy so far this season. It's a fabulous show. (And in the hospital genre it's wiping the floor with ER, which is rather sucktastic these days. Of course, I still watch ER. What? I've watched it for 12 (I just looked that up and, um, yikes) years, why stop now?) Miranda Bailey is one of the best characters on tv ("you so damn stupid") and Sandra Oh rocks Christina Yang. I cried my eyes out Sunday. Seriously? If you need a Sunday show, check it out.
Gilmore Girls is kinda breaking my heart. Lauren Graham is such a fabulous actor that I never minded Alexis Bledel. LG pulled her up to another level. But now with Lorelai and Rory on the outs, I'm really noticing that the girl can't act. And why is Lorelei and Luke so physically undemonstrative? I know they have chemistry: why the kiss on the cheek, ASP? You're killing me.
What else? I think JJ Abrams must have been brainwashed by the clams on the MI:3 set, because dude? Alias bites donkey butt this season. If there isn't any improvement soon I might have to start pretending that Alias ended after Season 2 before it poisons the entire series, a la X-Files. (Chris Carter: I did believe, mofo. And then you KILLED the show. Arghh.)
ANTM? (That's America's Next Top Model to you, reality show snob.) It gets farther and farther from actually producing anyone who could actually be a model, but there are still some reality moments to treasure: Coryn dissing Lisa with a well-timed "Alcoholic bitch". Lisa drunkenly slurring to a giant plant they've nicknamed Cousin It. Secret plagiarism. And that was just last night.
God, I'm boring. Might as well own it and write a giant entry about my cats. Oh, let's start now. Please enjoy Sammy and Max learning German:
